By tune I mean I just recorded myself juggling, then played that back and recorded something else on top of it, and then again, and then again. I’m nowhere near as good as I want to be. This is pretty basic stuff I guess. Also too much echo. And too much stuff in general.

Another idea that will never see the light of day…
I really want to start a turntablist cover band. Here’s how it would work: take popular songs and get the individual instruments and vocals on separate tracks, throw on Serato, and play them as covers. It would be totally awesome.
Some more ideas. Just came up with this one, that is going to fucking rock everybody because it’s rock music. It sounds great, I just need to remember to bring my other laptop from the office so I can record it. Are you ready for this one!

These six songs… The first three go together, and the second three go together, and all six together are just a bundle of alternative rock except for the first two, that are really only there because they have the same time signature as the Smiths song, and also because they are awesome. So here it is:
OK here are some notes… YES I know Death Cab is lame, and Foo Fighters is lame. But these songs work so fucking well that I can’t not put them together.

I have one of those phones that has a full keyboard and email capabilities. I also have an iPod. The three of us spend a lot of quality time on the metro together, where I make on-the-go playlists and email myself with ideas to use for mixes. Here are some of the ideas, direct copy/paste from my running list. I set up a gmail filter so everything with the subject “mix idea” goes directly into the list.
